In 2015, NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer continued its mission of "always exploring," with 24/7 mapping of the seafloor pretty much everywhere she went. In honor of World Oceans Day 2015, we took some time to reflect on why seafloor mapping is so critical not just to exploration but also to effectively managing and protecting our ocean.
