The Northern Bobwhite lives in grasslands and woodlands of eastern North America. Easy to hear, but difficult to spot, the bobwhite is most often identified by its loud, whistling call. Wild populations of bobwhites have declined over the past 50 years, but conservation-minded landowners are now restoring and preserving habitat for these birds across their range.
