We continue to learn a lot about the big brown bats on the Westmoreland Land Trust Schwarz bat colony camera. Last night the mom's left the bat pups alone for about 5 minutes when they went out to feed. Typically they will leave one mother behind to be a babysitter. We coutned 26 bat pups last night! Big brown bats are insectivores and will be coming out of hibernation soon.
