The Turfman from Ardee (with a slight difference) Yesterday I spent an hour recording this man, Larry Connors in Bunclody Library as part for a new project. I’d recorded Larry the previous week and came back again for more songs and chat. This is one of the songs I came back for. It’s actually a well-known song in the tradition but I really like the way Larry sings it which includes a really unusual feature which he got from his father - a little yelp after some of the lines.
