The temporary traffic shift to route northbound I-17 traffic through the two newly constructed flex lanes on I-17 has ended. Drivers will now use the two newly improved general purpose lanes as they head north from Black Canyon City to Sunset Point. This switch is necessary as I-17 Improvements Project crews continue to test the safety operations systems for the two flex lanes. The entire flex lanes corridor is expected to fully open to traffic later this year, providing drivers with four lanes
