Feb 23, 2024 · That said, this is the first VW I’ve owned that used oil between changes. I have owned 4 cylinder non-turbo, 5 cylinder non-turbo, and this particular car is my 3rd 4cylinder turbo. There are no leaks and I do not observe blue smoke so I do not know where the oil is going, but a quart and a half every 10,000 miles is not bad.

ID7 is 7 months old and just had new 12v battery fitted which solved all the 12v problems we were having, but after only couple of weeks I notice that keyless entry doesnt always work and the app sometimes wont let me pre heat the car because it says 12v battery low.

Dec 27, 2021 · Ok.. so I hooked up the battery on my 2012 Passat SE by mistake (forgot that the black cable is POSITIVE on the VW, not negative). Figured it out, reversed it, and all seemed well. Car starts right up, drove around the block just fine, etc... but the battery light comes on a little while after starting it.
