Narmada hostel is one the oldest hostels in JNU. It is situated in front of Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union's office and a cafeteria called 'Teflas'. During the initial few years this hostel accommodated only foreign students but gradually Indian students were also accommodated.

JNU has 18 hostel in campus, some of are boys hostel, girls hostel or some of them are co-ed hostel. If any student is out of Delhi then at admission time they can opt for hostel in campus.
