Phil Mickelson was put on the spot at LIV Golf Miami and managed to dodge a bullet that would have put him in the crosshairs from one side or the other.

Mickelson had a short pitch to get on Doral's par-4 6th’s green. However, his shot clanked off the flagstick and rolled back into the water.

A reporter asked Mickelson if he would prefer to win the LIV event or the Masters, which takes place the following week. Mickelson deflected the question, stating that a win at either event would be a significant accomplishment. Mickelson is coming off his best finish on the LIV Golf tour, a third-place result in Hong Kong.
