Pete Wicks has apologised after he was kept in Strictly Come Dancing over Jamie Borthwick as some viewers slammed his continued presence on the BBC dance show.

Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks has shared a poignant acknowledgment about his time on the BBC show. Appearing on Monday's edition of spin-off It Takes Two (November 25), Pete was joined by professional dance partner Jowita Przystal as they discussed their progress to the quarter-finals.

Speaking on spin-off It Takes Two, he said it was the "biggest shock" he'd had so far in the competition and that he wondered whether there had been a mix-up. Wicks told host Fleur East that he always expects to be handed his marching orders on the show, so when it was announced that he was safe he was taken aback.
