A blizzard warning is in effect for all of New Jersey as parts of the Garden State could get one to two feet of snow.

The storm in late January was bad enough. This one is bringing true blizzard conditions, and the city has stepped up its response.

An updated winter storm warning was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:02 p.m. in effect until Monday at 1 p.m. for Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, York and Lancaster counties.

The storm heading for the Northeast United States could be seen from space this morning as it began to take on a comma-shaped cloud pattern, with the storm’s center just off the coast of the Carolinas.

“DPW has a system when handling snow, from the start of the storm to the middle of the snowstorm to the cleanup at the end,” he said. “We ask that residents be patient and please cooperate by doing the best they can to keep vehicles off the road and follow the (parking) ban.”

All eyes are fixed on a developing coastal storm over the weekend with snow impacts increasingly likely for New York and Tri-State Area.

A snowstorm is coming, but its impacts to the East Coast still remain highly uncertain just a few days before the event.
