By Daniel Leussink TOKYO (Reuters) -Japanese small car maker Suzuki Motor said it will target 4.2 million vehicles in global sales in five years' time - an increase of nearly a third - with most of its expansion concentrated in its main market of India.

Suzuki Motor aims to boost global sales by 30% in 5 years, focusing on India for expansion and electric vehicles.

Suzuki Motor Corp. touted optimistic goals in its latest midterm plan, looking to build on its momentum to raise production and revenue through the rest of the decade with India, Japan and Europe as its key markets.

Suzuki Motor will target an operating profit margin of at least 10% and a return on equity of 15% or more for the first half of the next decade, the Japanese automaker said on Thursday.
