Netflix's foray into sports comes as the company continues to experiment with its monetisation strategies and adjusts pricing in key markets

With the arrival of February, the road to Wrestlemania officially kicks off with the first Premium Live Event of the year, the Royal Rumble. Most of the live events will deal with the fallout of the Rumble as the WWE superstars begin their preparations for Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas. An exciting month awaits.

The WWE partnership with Netflix is in full swing, as Monday Night Raw continues to post strong numbers on the platform. WWE continues to rank in the Top 10 for the streaming service in the United States and in several countries internationally.

The premiere episode of WWE Raw on Netflix got some of the show’s best numbers in years. According to the data Netflix posts via their TUDUM site/newsletter, Jan. 13’s second episode racked up 3.7 million views.

Netflix is happy with how WWE RAW‘s move to the streaming service has gone so far. WWE’s flagship show premiered on Netflix on January 6th. The two sides previously announced their $5 billion deal in January 2024.
