One of the high-profile local races is the District 3 seat of the County Board of Supervisors race between Terra Lawson-Remer, District 3's incumbent, and former Mayor Kevin Faulconer.

With the first 2024 general election results coming in, the race for San Diego County Supervisors District 3 is beginning to unfold. Early voting and mail-in ballots are being tallied, but final results won't be certified until Dec.

Currently, the board's makeup is three Democrats (Lawson-Remer, Nora Vargas and Monica Montgomery Steppe) and two Republicans (Joel Anderson and Jim Desmond). Vargas (District 1) and Anderson (District 2) are also up for re-election.
