Pokémon TCG Pocket is proving to be rather successful. App Magic, a website that estimates mobile app earnings (via Mobilegamer.biz), claims the “free” card game has made over $20 million in its first week on sale from over five million downloads.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket battles are already being dominated by two decks in particular: the usual suspects of Charizard and Mewtwo. The streamlined mobile version of the beloved TCG arrived in late October and its meta already appears formed, with most players bringing a Charizard ex or Mewtwo ex deck into the more competitive battle mode.

There are currently 250 base cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, including 226 cards you can get in Genetic Apex, and 24 Promo cards you can grab in Pokémon TCG Pocket during in-game events, like the Wonder Pick event that's ongoing at the time of writing.

Starting today - November 5 - in Pokemon TCG Pocket, players have a chance to earn a powerful Lapras EX (as well as other nice card variants) in a limited-time PvE battle event. You've got around 13 days until the event expires, so get to it!

The second in-game event for Pokémon TCG Pocket has begun, rewarding players with free cards from the “Promo Pack A Series Vol. 1″ booster pack. Players can battle against four AI-controlled Lapras/Lapras ex decks in the aptly titled Lapras ex Drop Event.
