The NBA postponed the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday with several massive wildfires burning across the greater Los Angeles area. It was the second straight day a game slated to be played in downtown Los Angeles was postponed.

The Los Angeles Lakers postpone Friday's NBA fixture against the Charlotte Hornets amid ongoing wildfires in the region, while Los Angeles Kings do the same for their scheduled NHL game.

As wildfires spread throughout Los Angeles County, a number of sporting events have been canceled, postponed or otherwise impacted in the area.
