In Bangladesh, the arrest of ISKCON monks, including spiritual leader Chinmay Das, has raised concerns. Radharamn Das, an ISKCON spokesperson, highlighted the troubling situation of deteriorating religious freedom for Hindus in Bangladesh amid the backdrop of a declining Hindu population.

The arrest of a Hindu leader in Dhaka has been “misconstrued,” with Bangladesh asserting at a UN forum on minority issues that the arrest was based on specific charges and that there has been no systematic attack on minorities in the country.

Two more Hindu priests were arrested in Bangladesh, ISKCON Kolkata spokesperson Radharamn Das claimed on Saturday.
