Houston is set to hire LSU assistant Slade Nagle as its offensive coordinator, reuniting him with coach Willie Fritz, sources told ESPN, confirming a Football Scoop report Wednesday.

Houston is set to hire LSU tight ends coach Slade Nagle as its new offensive coordinator, according to a report from CBS Sports. He previously worked as Willie Fritz’s offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at Tulane.

Fritz parlayed his success at Tulane into the Houston job, opting to hire Kevin Barbay as OC. That didn’t work out and now Fritz is turning back to Nagle. Under Nagle, LSU tight ends Mason Taylor and Ka’Morreun Pimpton both took a step forward.
