TULKAREM, West Bank (AP) — Palestinian activists and residents of this northern West Bank town gathered on Monday to plant an olive grove in memory of the late U.S. President Jimmy Carter, describing him as a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause.

Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed on Wednesday in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Palestinian news agency WAFA said, as Israeli strikes persisted following Monday's killing of three Israelis in the territory.

At least three Palestinian militants were killed in Israeli military operations in the West Bank on Tuesday. Two alleged gunmen were killed in a drone attack near Tubas after a "cell of armed terrorists" had previously fired on soldiers,
