Big Blue's woes continued on Monday when the team officially placed star defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence on season-ending injured reserve. Lawrence dislocated his elbow during the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Dexter Lawrence doesn’t need crutches, so his healthy teammates won’t use them, either. The Giants placed their best player on injured reserve Monday, which essentially ends his season considering Lawrence wouldn’t be eligible to return from his elbow injury until a meaningless season finale at the earliest.

The New York Giants defense is going to have to learn to adjust to life without Pro Bowl tackle Dexter Lawrence.
