Barcelona Airport has faced significant flooding due to intense rainstorms. This resulted in the cancellation of numerous flights and led to a considerable level of anxiety among passengers who were going to pass through or visit the massive European hub.

Barcelona's El Prat airport is being flooded by heavy rain in Catalonia on Monday, with flights being cancelled or diverted as passengers avoid the water streaming in from the roof and push their suitcases around the slippery terminals.

The city is facing a red alert for dangerous torrential rain and the dangerous downpours are causing major flight disruption.
