A groundbreaking ceremony took place Wednesday for the first Buc-ee’s location in West Tennessee. The new Buc-ee’s will be located at Interstate 40 and Tennessee 196 in Gallaway. At 74,000 square feet, the location will be one of the chain's larger stores.

Even the pouring rain could not dampen the excitement about the travel center chain's future arrival. The estimated $82 million, 74,000-square-foot facility is expected to create more than 240 new jobs.

The travel megastore will be built in Gallaway near Interstate 40 and Tennessee Highway 196. It will occupy 74,000-square feet and offer 120 gas pumps.
