Despite the arrival of the electric Cayenne, the current gas-powered Cayenne—which has been on sale since the 2019 model year and received a major update for 2024—will stick around. Despite its age, Porsche sold 102,889 examples last year, accounting for almost one out of every three sales at the automaker.

Porsche has confirmed the electric Cayenne will make its debut toward the end of 2025.The announcement came from CEO Oliver Blume during Porsche's year-end financial Q&A session.

An all-electric version of the Porsche Cayenne SUV will be revealed later this year, CEO Oliver Blume said in a Q&A following the announcement of the automaker's 2024 financial results Wednesday. "We are going to present it to the world for the first time at the end of the year," Blume said, adding that the reveal will take place on the West Coast.

Instead of the upright Cayenne SUV, the coupe maintains the model's much sleeker roofline. It appears to have much more of a curve toward the rear than the current Cayenne Coupe,

Porsche currently offers two electric vehicles, the Taycan and the Macan EV, and it isn't stopping there. Porsche has announced that a new Cayenne EV will debut this year, followed by a new fully electric 718 lineup.

Porsche's plans for an electrified SUV lineup will come to fruition this year with the debut of the new, and electric, Porsche Cayenne. The model will join the Macan EV as the brand's second electric SUV.
