Visitors to Montauk State Park will notice some changes due to the flood damage. Layers of sand still cover much of the grass, and part of the camping area will only be available for basic camping.

Montauk State Park will remain closed through February as park staff continues to remove sand, gravel and woody debris from the campground and daily use areas east of Licking, officials said.
