Negotiators were trying to clinch agreement on Tuesday on the final details of a ceasefire in Gaza after marathon talks in Qatar, with mediators and the warring sides both saying a deal was closer than ever.

Mediators say Israel and Hamas have agreed to a pause in fighting in Gaza and to begin releasing the hostages held there.

As part of its provocative and extreme policies towards Middle Eastern countries, Israel published a so-called “historical” map on an official account linked to its Foreign Ministry on the platform X.
