San Antonio poet Naomi Shihab Nye has added one more award to her long list of prestigious honors: The Wallace Stevens Award from the Academy of American Poets. The lifetime achievement award, which carries a $100,000 stipend, is given annually to recognize distinguished achievement in poetry.

Legendary actress and still-polarizing activist Jane Fonda will be presented with the actors union's highest tribute at the Feb. 23 SAG Awards.

Actor and humanitarian Jane Fonda is adding the SAG life achievement award to her many accolades. The 86-year-old will be given the prize at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February, the guild said Thursday.

Naomi Shihab Nye is the recipient of the Wallace Stevens Award, which is given annually to recognize outstanding and proven mastery in the art of poetry. The award carries a stipend of $100,000.

Paychex founder Tom Golisano will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
