Las Vegas Grand Prix organisers have ruled out one day following Formula One's other U.S. rounds in Austin and Miami and switching to a sprint format. The 100km race, a day before the main event, is aimed at providing more racing entertainment for fans but the Las Vegas GP is already on a Saturday and last year featured more overtaking than any other round.

Formula One has no plans to add a sprint race to the Las Vegas Grand Prix schedule in the near future as officials remain “quite comfortable” keeping the format at other events. F1 started staging sprint races,

The impact of hosting a Formula 1 race has been "eye-opening" for Las Vegas after huge interest in the newest race on the calendar. Last year brought the first Las Vegas Grand Prix to be held on the Strip.

While the 2023 Las Vegas race was hailed a commercial success, Formula 1's presence in the city also left locals beyond frustrated. But the organisation says this year will be different, and easier.
