The Chiefs had one piece of injury news worth monitoring: Cornerback Chamarri Conner, who returned after missing two weeks because of a concussion, left the game and didn’t return after hurting his shoulder.

Luckily for Denver, they faced a Chiefs team that probably would have opted to skip the game altogether if they could have. In Week 17, Kansas City clinched the top seed in the AFC, meaning a loss to the Broncos wouldn't have affected where it stood in the standings.

The Chiefs enter the final week of the season in strong position, as Kansas City is 15-1 and already clinched the best record in the AFC. Therefore, the Chiefs don't have to play for seeding this week when they travel to Denver to play the 9-7 Broncos.
