A third quarter fight between Carver-Columbus and Gainesville cancelled the teams’ second round flag football playoff game Thursday night. At the time of the incident, the Tigers led the Red Elephants 6-0. Video shows a Carver player and a Gainesville player appearing to throw punches during a play, igniting the fight.

The Music City Bowl is played at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST and will be televised by ESPN. The Vols will face Illinois (8-4, 5-4 Big Ten). The Fighting Illini received 10 votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll after conference championship week. Tennessee and Illinois have not played in football.
