The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the threat of wildfires for all of South Florida including Palm Beach County as cold dry air plunges through the state.

The Treasure Coast will be under a red flag warning from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Here's what that means.

The dryer and windy conditions have triggered a “Red Flag” fire warning for all of Central Florida. Residents are encouraged to keep vehicles off of the dry grasses and avoid any activities that include open flames or sparks. Overnight lows will fall into the 40s in almost every community.
