Organizers who revived a historied dog sled race across Lake Minnetonka have canceled the event for the third consecutive year because of warm weather. This year, Klondike Dog Derby planners had already moved the race day from Feb.

Remote trail cameras and live broadcasts will enhance viewing for the UP200 race launching Friday from Marquette. The multi-day event covers 228 miles through Upper Peninsula wildnerness.

After a delay, teams will be released from Kotzebue on Wednesday morning, with the wrench day scheduled for Thursday in Nome.
