The Chevrolet Camaro nameplate has been out of production since the end of 2023 and a new report suggests its return is far from imminent. Insider sources told Ford Authority that a recent proposal for the Camaro’s revival was “blown apart” by executives because the volume and profitability targets didn’t make a strong enough business case.

A business case for a possible seventh-generation Camaro wasn’t strong enough. While a new Camaro hasn’t been ruled out entirely, it’s now less likely to become a reality. Chevrolet had been eager to ensure the next Camaro would be cheaper.
