The Mobile Police Department responded to two fatal traffic accidents over the weekend that left three people dead.

Two people died Friday evening in separate traffic crashes on Alabama highways, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). Capt. Jeremy J. Burkett said one crash occurred at about 10 p.m.

– Alabama recorded 967 traffic fatalities in 2024, down slightly from 975 in 2023, according to ALDOT’s Alabama Crash Facts report.
