Blizzard warnings were issued Saturday for New York City, New Jersey, southern New England and coastal communities along the East Coast.

On Tuesday at 1:57 a.m. EST an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 10 a.m. EST until Wednesday midnight EST for Chippewa and Mackinac counties.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro issued a disaster emergency declaration in anticipation of a major and potentially record-breaking winter storm.

The advisory was for Northern Clinton, Northern Centre and Northern Lycoming as well as Potter, Tioga and Sullivan counties.

On Tuesday at 2:27 p.m. EST an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Wednesday at midnight EST for Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Mackinac and Charlevoix counties.
