Texas Southern University is asking lawmakers for $120 million to replace its law school building after the organization that sets standards for law schools deemed it unsafe and ill-suited to serve students with disabilities.

A news release issued by Southern University announced Friday that the U.S. Marshals took Semaj Joiner, who was identified as a suspect in the shooting, into custody in Texas on Thursday.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect involved in a shooting inside a residential hall on Southern University’s campus.
