With an $80,000 goal this year, the Wisconsin Rapids Polar Plunge hit the halfway mark just a little after registration got underway Saturday morning. While raising $40,000 is still quite a lot of money to raise for one polar plunge, one man is known for chipping in more than his own fair share over the years.
