An active shooter was reported on or near the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, the university’s public safety department said this afternoon.

President Donald Trump, the New England Patriots and Massachusetts and Rhode Island governors condemned the shooting at Brown University on Saturday night that left at least two dead and eight injured.
