South African teenager becomes youngest top class driver to win a Dakar Rally stage
Nineteen-year-old Saood Variawa of South Africa became the youngest top-class driver to win a stage in the Dakar Rally. The previous record was 22 set last Saturday by American Seth Quintero. Variawa shrugged off a late puncture to win the 327-kilometer third stage from Bisha north to Al Henakiyah.

Al Rajhi storms back into Dakar Rally top three and Sanders increases motorbike lead
Local driver Yazeed Al Rajhi stormed back into the Dakar Rally's leading threesome when he dominated the fourth stage in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. Al Rajhi started 18th in Al Henakiyah and was in front by the first time check in volcanic terrain and never headed on the 415-kilometer (258-mile) course north through canyons to AlUla.

Al Attiyah Advances To Second Place In Dakar Rally Standings
Nasser Al Attiyah, five-time Dakar Rally champion, finished sixth, 3 minutes and 34 seconds behind stage winner. He took advantage of Saudi driver Yazeed Al Rajhi's drop to 17th place in the stage, moving up to second in overall standings and narrowing the gap between himself and South Africa's Henk Lategan, the current leader.
