STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KFGO) – Various law enforcement agencies are investigating a deadly shooting outside Stewartville High School, south of Rochester, Minnesota. The shooting happened at about 5 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 in the school parking lot as the wrestling team was boarding a bus.

This officer-involved shooting happened on a violent night in Minneapolis, with two homicides occurring just hours before. The first happened just before 9:30 p.m. on the 2900 block of Emerson Avenue North, where a man in his 20s was killed in a shooting.

DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – A Duluth man is facing charges after allegedly shooting and killing a moose while deer hunting in northeastern Minnesota. According to a criminal complaint, 37-year-old Dane Nelson admitted to shooting the animal, believing it was a deer.

Officers used less-lethal bean bag shotgun rounds to subdue William Piar, who they say was armed and refused to comply.
