“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” tells the story of Marvel’s first family and stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman; Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing; and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

You’ll remember that Marvel Studios did in fact use AI to create the opening sequence of its Disney+ series Secret Invasion as it fit the series’ shape-shifting plot. The show follows Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who is investigating shape-shifting alien Skrulls who have populated Earth.

First Steps has been generated using AI. Others think it's just bad Photoshop, still others feel it's a bit of both.

Despite speculation on social media, Marvel did not use AI to create a new poster for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the studio said Tuesday. The Disney-owned studio unveiled the First Steps poster in conjunction with the film’s first teaser early Tuesday morning.

People in the poster appear to be missing fingers or legs - common hallmarks of Gen-AI models - but the studio says that's not the case.

Marvel Studios has reponded to all of the claims that it used AI to help create some of The Fantastic Four: First Steps posters.
