The Lakers dominated in the first and third quarters with a mix of stoud defense and aggressive offensive play. The Jazz had good defense and an offensive surge in the 4th quarter but the 22 point deficit that had accrued in quarters 1-3 was too much to overcome.

Dalton Knecht tied the NBA's single-game rookie record with nine 3-pointers while scoring a career-high 37 points, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Utah Jazz 124-118 for their sixth consecutive victory.
