Ad-supported MovieSphere Gold will debut initially on DirecTV, Dish TV and other platforms with pics like ‘Dirty Dancing,’ ‘Rambo’ and ‘The Shack.’

Nielsen will now measure both Lionsgate’s FAST channel MovieSphere and MovieSphere Gold, the first contemporary all-movie digital network. FAST currently comprises 6.8% of total TV consumption, an increase of over 400% over the last four Septembers, per Nielsen.

Lionsgate and subsidiary Debmar-Mercury have teamed to launch MovieSphere Gold, an all-movie digital network available in more than 30 million households.
