Lil Durk ‘s legal troubles continue to mount as he prepares to face formal charges in a mureder-for-hire plot. While he ultimately submitted himself to federal authorities, new FBI records show that surrender was not part of his initial plan.

At the time the tickets were purchased, iCloud records reportedly show Lil Durk advising one of his OTF associates to avoid booking tickets in his name. Later, the rapper reserved a seat on a private flight from Miami to Italy but was detained in South Florida before his departure.

The 32-year-old rapper, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested on murder-for-hire charges and appeared in Florida court Friday. The murder-for-hire charges were filed in federal court in Los Angeles as part of a plan to avenge Durk’s friend, late Chicago rapper King Von, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Friday.

The rapper was arrested Thursday and was being held at the Broward County, Florida jail, in Fort Lauderdale, records show.

Lil Durk was reportedly apprehended by law enforcement in Florida after allegedly attempting to flee the country. According to the FBI, the "Hellcats & Trackhawks" rapper had booked flights to Dubai and Switzerland and was listed as a passenger on a private jet bound for Italy.
