Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde today (27 November) claimed that he has left the decision to choose Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) to Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde on Wednesday expressed unwavering confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, stating that he will accept any decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the chief ministerial post.

The BJP on its own walked away with 132 seats followed by Shiv Sena with 57 and Ajit Pawar led NCP with 41 seats. Ajit Pawar already declared that his party will support Fadnavis for the top job in the state.

Amid speculations over the Chief Ministerial candidate from the newly elected Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, the state's caretaker CM and Shiv Sena chief Ekanth Shinde addressed a press conference in the Thane district where he announced that the next Maharashtra CM will be from the BJP.
