For the second straight day, Drake Maye landed on the Patriots injury report. But he was tabbed a full participant in practice.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt commented on the health of Drake Maye on Thursday morning. The rookie quarterback went in for an MRI for a knee injury on Wednesday, as reported by the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin.

Van Pelt pointed to one play in practice Wednesday as evidence of this. The offensive coordinator said that Maye was going up against New England’s first-team defense when the coaches threw a heavy blitz at him. Van Pelt said he didn’t give Maye the “answer” to the blitz. It was on the rookie to identify it and make the necessary adjustments.
