The Black Mafia Family co-founder was released from prison earlier this week after nearly 20 years behind bars.

Flenory, 56, was originally sentenced to 30 years in prison following his 2008 conviction for drug trafficking and money laundering.

Back in 2005, Big Meech and BMF, which was co-founded by his brother Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory, were both indicted under the Continuing Criminal Enterprise Statute and each was sentenced to 30 years in prison. They were accused of making $270 million from drug trafficking during their run.

Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, co-founder of the infamous Black Mafia Family, has been released from federal prison. Flenory, 56, was transferred to a halfway house in Florida, TMZ reported Wednesday. He was released Tuesday, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Details have emerged as Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory has been released from federal custody into a halfway house. According to TMZ, the Detroit native was transferred to finish out his sentence under the conditions that he will be supervised for 5 years and participate in a substance abuse program which may include drug and alcohol testing.
