Tony Award winner Danny Burstein has been announced to co-star in the upcoming Broadway production of “Gypsy.” The previously announced revival, directed by George C. Wolfe, will begin previews on Nov. 21 and open on Dec. 19 at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre. Burstein will play Herbie opposite Audra McDonald as Rose.

Tony winners McDonald and Wolfe previously collaborated on the Broadway musical Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, which ran in 2016. Burstein returns to Broadway for the first time since playing Harold Zidler in the original company of Moulin Rouge!
