Three more nonstop flights coming to Wilmington airport with Avelo Airlines expansion
The launch of the new base of operations will begin in April 2025, meaning that the airline will have an aircraft stationed in Wilmington. This will allow for up to 50 local jobs, including pilot, engineer, flight attendant and ground crew positions.
Avelo Airlines to offer nonstop flights from Jacksonville to New Haven starting Feb. 14
Houston-based Avelo Airlines will start service starting Feb. 14. The twice-weekly flights will operate on Monday and Friday. For example, the Feb. 17 flight leaves Jacksonville at 11:20 a.m. and arrive at Tweed New Haven at 1:45 p.m. The Feb. 21 return flight leaves New Haven at 8 a.m. and arrive in Jacksonville at 10:35 a.m.
