The Indonesian government is pushing Apple for a higher investment than its recently proposed $100 million before it will consider lifting

Apple has offered $100 million to Indonesia as part of an effort to lift a recent ban of the iPhone 16 in the country, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. The company has presented an investment plan that would use that $100 million to set up a manufacturing plant in the nation.

The amount the U.S. tech giant has offered is 10 times higher than an initial plan to invest $10 million and will be invested over the next two years.

The Indonesian government expects Apple to invest more than $100 million into the country if it wants to sell its iPhone 16 in the growing market.
