SAN DIEGO (AP) — A truckload of methamphetamine disguised as a shipment of watermelons was seized at a U.S.-Mexico border crossing in San Diego, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in California discovered $5 million worth of methamphetamine disguised as watermelons last week, the agency said Tuesday.

Two tonnes of methamphetamine disguised as fake fruit was found by officers on the US/Mexico border.

Well over two tons of methamphetamine valued at more than $5 million disguised as a shipment of watermelons were seized at an inspection facility at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry last week, authorities said.
