Established in 1961. Pennywise Thrift Shop was created as a fund raising endeavor of The Church of the Holy Comforter in 1961. For over 60+ years the shop has been recycling and selling donated and consigned affordable, lightly used clothing and household items from and to the Vienna community. The proceeds from the shop fund a variety of ministries and activities within our parish as well as numerous community charitable programs and services. The success and popularity of Pennywise is directly attributed to the many volunteers from Holy Comforter who work in the shop and to the generous donations from the community.
